The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC), Lucknow has published Advertisement No. 24-Exam/2026 dated 12 October 2026 for the Combined Junior Engineer (Mechanical) Mains Exam (PET-2025)/24. It covers 1,156 posts of Junior Engineer (Mechanical) and posts with the same qualification in six departments. Only candidates who appeared in PET 2025 and got a scorecard can apply, and shortlisting for the mains uses the normalised PET 2025 score. Online applications run from 3 November to 25 November 2026.

Eligibility
- Valid PET 2025 scorecard; zero or negative PET score is not shortlisted.
- JE and most technical posts: three-year diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Board of Technical Education, UP, or equivalent (degree accepted for Irrigation JE).
- UPSRTC posts: diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering; Machine Instructor: Intermediate plus a three-year mechanical diploma.
- Age: generally 18 (21 for some posts) to 40 years on 1 July 2026; relaxation as per UP rules.
Application Fee
- Rs 25 online processing fee for all categories.
- The mains exam fee is paid separately by shortlisted candidates before downloading the admit card.
How to Apply
- Log in on upsssc.gov.in with your PET 2025 registration number and the OTP sent to your registered mobile or email.
- Only one application is allowed; you will give your post preference at document verification.
- EWS certificate must be issued between 1 April 2026 and 25 November 2026.
