GSSSB CCE Recruitment 2026: 1237 Clerk and Group A Posts

The Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board (GSSSB), Gandhinagar has issued Advertisement No. 468/2026-27 for the Gujarat Subordinate Services Class-3 (Group-A and Group-B) Combined Competitive Examination. There are 1,237 posts: 243 in Group-A, such as Sub Registrar, Assistant Tribal Development Officer, Social Welfare Inspector, Head Clerk and Senior Clerk, and 994 Junior Clerk posts in Group-B. Graduates aged 20 to 35 can apply online on ojas.gujarat.gov.in from 5 November 2026 (2 PM) to 30 November 2026 (11:59 PM).

Vacancy Details

Salary

• Fixed pay for the first five years: Rs 49,600 for Sub Registrar Grade-1, Office Superintendent and Assistant Tribal Development Officer.
• Rs 40,800 for Sub Registrar Grade-2, Social Welfare Inspector and Head Clerk.
• Rs 26,000 for Senior Clerk, Office Assistant and Junior Clerk; regular pay scale after five years of satisfactory service.

Eligibility

• A bachelor's degree from a recognised university, or an equal qualification.
• Basic knowledge of computer use as per Gujarat rules, and enough knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
• Age 20 to 35 years on 30 November 2026; 5 years more for general women and reserved men, 10 for reserved women, up to 45 years.

Application Fee

• Unreserved: Rs 500
• Women of all categories, SEBC, SC, ST, EWS, divyang and ex-servicemen: Rs 400
• The fee is refunded to candidates who appear in the exam.

Selection Process

• Stage 1: one common prelims for Group-A and Group-B, 150 MCQs for 150 marks in 120 minutes, with 0.25 negative marking.
• Prelims marks: English 15, Gujarati 15, General Awareness and Current Affairs 30, Quantitative Aptitude 30, Reasoning 60.
• Prelims is only for screening: seven times the posts in each category go to the separate Group-A and Group-B mains (MCQ), and the merit list uses mains marks.

• Do or update your One Time Registration on ojas.gujarat.gov.in.
• Fill the form for Advt 468/2026-27 using your original certificates and confirm it to get a confirmation number.
• Pay the fee online by 2 December 2026; if you apply more than once, only the last confirmed form with fee counts.
