Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL), a Miniratna company under the Ministry of Mines, has issued Notice No. HCL/MCP/HR/Trade App./01/2026 dated 3 November 2026 for 171 trade apprentice seats at its Malanjkhand Copper Project in Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh. Seats are in 19 trades, from Electrician and COPA to Mate (Mines) and Blaster. Selection is on 10th and ITI marks, with no exam. Online applications run from 5 November to 24 November 2026, and the shortlist will be published on 8 December 2026.

Eligibility
- 10th pass for all trades; ITI pass in the same trade for Mechanic Diesel and the trades after it. Mate (Mines), Blaster and Driver-cum-Mechanic need only 10th.
- Age 18 to 25 years on 1 November 2026; 5 years more for SC/ST and 3 for OBC.
- Diploma or B.E. holders are not considered; those who already did apprenticeship or have a job cannot apply.
Selection Process
- Merit: 70% weight to 10th marks and 30% to ITI marks in the trade.
- For Mate (Mines) and Blaster, 100% weight to 10th marks.
- Equal marks: the older candidate ranks higher. Final engagement needs medical fitness.
How to Apply
- Register on the apprenticeship portal (apprenticeship.gov.in) with an Aadhaar-verified profile and pick Hindustan Copper Limited, Malanjkhand Copper Project.
- Then fill the online form on hindustancopper.com with the portal registration number.
- ITI pass-outs of 2025 or earlier need an affidavit that they have not done apprenticeship or taken a job.
