The Department of Posts' Mail Motor Services (MMS), Kolkata has invited applications from eligible Indian citizens for 19 Skilled Artisan/Tradesman posts in the West Bengal Circle. This corrigendum amends the notification dated 19.05.2020, and the vacancies relate to the years 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18. Applications must be sent by Speed Post only, and the last date is 30 November 2026 up to 17:00 hrs.

- Pay scale: Rs. 19,900 to 63,200 (Level 2 in the pay matrix as per 7th CPC) plus admissible allowances.
- Two of the 8 MV Mechanic vacancies are reserved for Ex-Servicemen (ESM).
Eligibility
- Age limit: 18 to 30 years as on 01.07.2018 for unreserved (UR) candidates.
- Age relaxation: SC/ST by 5 years, OBC (Non-creamy layer) by 3 years, and other relaxations as per the rules for Central Government servants and Ex-Servicemen.
- Qualification: A certificate in the respective trade from a Government-recognised technical institution, or Class VIII pass with one year of experience in the respective trade.
- MV Mechanic candidates must hold a valid Driving Licence (HMV).
Selection Process
Selection will be made through a Competitive Trade Test based on the syllabus of the respective trade. Eligible candidates will be informed of the syllabus, date, venue and duration along with Hall Permits. No TA-DA will be paid for the test.
How to Apply
- Send the application on plain paper in the prescribed format, duly filled and signed by the candidate.
- Attach self-attested photocopies of the required certificates, including age, address, citizenship, educational and technical qualification, trade experience and community certificate where applicable.
- Send a separate application and separate envelope for each trade, and write the trade name on the envelope.
- Address the envelope to "The Senior Manager, Mail Motor Services, 139, Beleghata Road, Kolkata-700015" and send it by Speed Post only.
- Courier applications will not be accepted. Do not send original certificates.
