DLSA Balangir Para-Legal Volunteer 2026 Apply

The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Balangir has invited Expression of Interest for empanelment of Para-Legal Volunteers (PLVs). The empanelment is for one year from the date of empanelment. Local residents of Balangir District can apply in the prescribed format by post or through the drop box at the ADR Centre Building, Balangir. The last date to apply is 31.10.2026 at 5:00 PM.

Applications received after the due date shall not be considered.

Eligibility

The following persons may apply:

• Teachers (including retired teachers)
• Retired Government Servants and senior citizens
• M.S.W students and teachers
• Anganwadi Workers
• Doctor / Physician
• Students and Law Students (till they enrol as lawyer)
• Members of Non-political, Services oriented NGOs and Clubs
• Members of Women Neighbourhood Groups, Maithri Sanghams and other Self-Help Groups, including marginalized / vulnerable groups
• Educated prisoners with good behavior, serving long term sentence in prison
• Any other person whom the DLSA deems fit to be identified as Para-Legal Volunteers

Minimum educational qualification: The PLVs shall be literate, preferably matriculate, with a capacity for overall comprehension.

Remuneration

The work of Para-Legal Volunteers does not carry any salary, remuneration or wages, except an honorarium fixed by the DLSA/SLSA/NALSA from time to time.

Removal from Panel

A PLV can be removed from the panel if he or she fails to show interest in the scheme, is adjudged insolvent, is accused of an offence, becomes physically or mentally incapable, misuses the position, or is an active political enthusiast of a political party. Removal is done by the Chairman of the DLSA after enquiry, and intimation is sent to the State Legal Services Authority.

• Fill the prescribed application form and paste two recent passport size photographs (one on the form).
• Attach a self-addressed envelope, duly stamped.

• Applications can be sent by post or dropped in the drop box kept in the ADR Centre Building, Balangir.
