HPSC Food Safety Officer Recruitment 2026 is for 45 Group-B posts in the Food & Drugs Administration Department, Haryana. The Haryana Public Service Commission published Advertisement No. 25/2026 on 19 September 2026 with 19 October 2026 as the closing date, and on 16 October 2026 it announced the exam scheme: a screening test on 6 December 2026, a subject knowledge test on 31 January 2027 and an interview.

Eligibility
The qualification, age limit and fee are given in Advertisement No. 25/2026 on the HPSC website. Read it before applying, because HPSC checks eligibility at every stage and presence in all three stages is compulsory.
Selection Process
- Screening test (if there are many applicants): 100 MCQs, 100 marks, 2 hours, five options per question, the fifth option is for leaving a question unattempted
- One-fourth mark is cut for every wrong answer, and also for a question where no option is darkened; not darkening any circle in more than 10% of the questions means disqualification
- Minimum 25% marks to clear screening; four times the number of posts are called to the next stage; screening marks do not count in the final merit
- Subject knowledge test: subjective, 150 marks, 3 hours, in English; at least 35% needed; weightage 87.5%
- Interview: two times the number of posts are called; weightage 12.5%; final merit adds the test and interview marks

- Current events of national and international importance
- History of India, Indian and world geography
- Indian culture, Indian polity and Indian economy
- General mental ability (reasoning and analytical abilities)
- Basic numeracy and data interpretation of Class X level
- Haryana GK: history, geography, polity, economy and culture
