Bharathiar University NSS Programme Co-ordinator 2026

Bharathiar University, Coimbatore has invited applications for the post of Programme Co-ordinator, NSS. The post is for a tenure of three years and the pay is on the Associate Professor scale of pay. Vacancy Details

Eligibility

• Age: Not more than 50 years at the time of selection
• Qualification: Associate Professor or Senior Assistant Professor in the University or an Affiliated College, or Principal of an Affiliated College of Associate Professor status with NSS background
• Experience: Must have been a Programme Officer (NSS) for at least three years
• Training: NSS orientation in a Training and Orientation Centre (TOC) or Training, Orientation & Research Centre (TORC)
• Relaxation: SC/ST candidates get a 5% relaxation at Master's level, from 55% to 50% of marks
• Ph.D. holders who passed their Master's before 19th September 1991 also get a 5% relaxation, from 55% to 50%
• Knowledge of Tamil to the extent of carrying out official correspondence and drafting reports

• General category: Rs.600/- (including registration fee)
• OBC/SC/ST: Rs.300/- (including registration fee)
• Payment: Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Registrar, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore
• The fee is non-refundable under any circumstances

Selection Process

• Selection will follow the norms of the NSS Manual
• Candidates must attend the interview at their own cost
• Candidates in service must send their application through proper channel
