Key Responsibilities

• Design and run a hosting-agnostic environment on private, sovereign or government cloud, covering compute, network topology and segmentation, firewalls, TLS/ingress, DNS and strict separation of dev, staging and production.
• Manage the self-managed data and messaging setup: PostgreSQL 16 with HA and streaming replication, Redis (Sentinel or Cluster) and a multi-broker Apache Kafka cluster, including capacity planning and tuning.
• Look after platform availability, health management, monitoring, alerting and capacity management across the platform.
• Build the backup and disaster-recovery setup, run rehearsed restore drills, define RPO and RTO targets and keep the DR runbook updated.
• Handle platform and infrastructure security, including hardening, network policy, least-privilege access and the custody, storage and rotation of signing and encryption keys.
• Define and enforce the production topology and scaling model, working with the DevSecOps team on deployment and with the AppSec team on end-to-end hardening and audit evidence.
