Chennai Port Authority has invited applications to fill one post of Superintending Engineer (Mech.) (Class I) in the M & EE Department on an Absorption / Deputation basis. The pay scale is Rs.60000-180000 (Revised). Eligible officers of Major Port Authorities should apply through the online portal and send a printout along with the required documents within the given time. The last date for ports to forward applications is 18 December 2026.

• Qualifications, experience and other conditions are as given in the Recruitment Rules (RR), enclosed as Annexure-1.
• Only eligible officers of Major Port Authorities can apply.
• The selected officer will be appointed on absorption / deputation basis and will be governed by the terms and conditions prescribed by the Central Government.

How to Apply

• Eligible candidates should apply through the Online Application Portal (OAP) of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways.
• Send a printout of the online application, copies of educational qualifications and experience, an undertaking not to withdraw if selected, and a self-attested passport size photo through proper channel.
• Ports must send applications to the Secretary, Chennai Port Authority, Rajaji Salai, Chennai – 600 001 on or before 18 December 2026. Along with them, send photocopies of ACRs/APARs for the last 5 years, willingness to join the post if selected, and the No Objection Certificate of the respective port.
