South Eastern Railway has released Employment Notice No. SER/Pers/Sports Quota/OA/2026-27 for 54 posts against the Sports Quota (Open Advertisement). The posts are in Group C and Group D across Level 1 to Level 5, in any unit of the zone. Online applications run from 31 October 2026 to 23:59 hours on 30 November 2026. Selection is by sports trial, and no post is reserved for any community.

Eligibility
- Age: 18 to 25 years as on 1 January 2027 (born not earlier than 2 January 2002 and not later than 1 January 2009). No age relaxation is allowed.
- Level 4/5 education: a university degree or equivalent.
- Level 2/3 education: Class 12, or Matriculation with Act Apprenticeship, or Class 10 with ITI or NAC.
- Level 1 education: Class 10, or ITI, or National Apprenticeship Certificate.
- Sports: the achievement norm for the level must be met on or after 1 April 2024, in events under a federation recognised by the Sports Ministry. Those awaiting results are not eligible.

Selection Process
- Total 100 marks: sports achievement 50, game skill and fitness with coach's observation 40 (minimum 25 to qualify), education 10.
- Minimum to qualify overall: 70 for GP 2400/2800, 65 for GP 1900/2000, and 60 for GP 1800.
- Trials are followed by verification of sports and education certificates.
How to Apply
- Apply online on the RRC SER sports recruitment portal.
- Upload proof of birth date, education, sports achievement and community, with photo and signature.
- Bring all originals to the trial. No TA/DA is given, though SC/ST candidates get free second class rail travel.
