HP Jal Shakti Para Workers Recruitment 2026

The Jal Shakti Division, Pooh (district Kinnaur, Himachal Pradesh) under the HP Jal Shakti Vibhag has released a notice to fill 20 para worker posts on a part-time, hourly basis. The posts are Para Pump Operator, Para Fitter and Multi Purpose Workers, for running and maintaining water supply and irrigation schemes. Applications must reach the office of the Executive Engineer by 13 November 2026.

Vacancy Details

Category-wise: Para Pump Operator and Para Fitter posts are all UR. Multi Purpose Workers: SC 2, ST 1, OBC 2, EWS 2, UR 10.

Eligibility

• Para Pump Operator: Matriculation (10th) with ITI in Electrician, Wireman, Diesel Mechanic, Pump Mechanic, Motor Mechanic or Pump Operator-cum-Mechanic trade, or matriculation certificate in these trades under the Government skill development scheme.
• Para Fitter: Matriculation (10th) with ITI in Fitter or Plumber trade, or matriculation certificate in these trades under the Government skill development scheme.
• Multi Purpose Workers: Minimum Middle pass (8th) or equivalent from a school recognised by the state government.
• Age (Para Pump Operator and Para Fitter): minimum 18 years and maximum 45 years as on 13.11.2026.
• Bonafide Himachali certificate is required.

Application Fee

The notice does not mention any application fee. No TA/DA will be payable for appearing in the skill and physical test.

Selection Process

The total selection is of 10 marks. Initial merit is based on experience and qualification. The top candidates (at least 5 times the vacancies) will be called for skill and physical test, with separate call letters.

• Para Pump Operator and Para Fitter: Matric marks 5, BPL family 1, experience 2, skill and physical test 2
• Multi Purpose Workers: Middle (8th) marks 6, experience 2, skill and physical test 2

Physical test: candidates should be capable of carrying tools and pipes in hilly areas, and should have no physical disability or colour blindness.

How to Apply

• Send the application form, neatly typed or handwritten in English/Hindi, with attested or self-attested copies of documents: Bonafide Himachali certificate, marksheets, ITI certificate, proof of age, character certificate from a 1st class magistrate, experience certificate, and SC/ST/OBC/EWS certificate where applicable.
• Separate application is needed for each post.
• Original certificates will be seen at the time of evaluation.
