The Odisha Uniformed Services Staff Selection Commission (OUSSSC) has notified 7268 posts through the Combined Uniformed Services (Below Graduate Level) Examination 2026. Advertisement No. 01-CRE-2026/OUSSSC is dated 23 October 2026. It covers Constable (Civil), Constable (Communication), Constable OISF, Firefighter, Firefighting Driver, Driver PMT and Traffic Constable. Applications are online only, and the last date is 12 November 2026 at 10 PM.

Vacancy Details

Age Limit as on 1 January 2026

• Constable (Civil): 18 to 26 years
• Constable (Communication), Constable OISF and Driver PMT: 18 to 23 years
• Firefighter and Firefighting Driver: 18 to 25 years
• Traffic Constable: 21 to 32 years
• The upper limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC, ST, SEBC and women of all categories.
• Ex-Agniveers get 3 years. Only one age benefit can be used, whichever is better for you.

Educational Qualification

• Constable (Civil), Firefighter, Firefighting Driver and Traffic Constable: +2 pass.
• Constable (Communication): +2 Science with Physics, Chemistry and Maths, Electronics, Statistics, Computer Science or IT, or a 3 year engineering diploma.
• Constable OISF and Driver PMT: 10th pass.
• Keep proof of Odia knowledge ready, as the notification asks for it among the documents.

Pay Level

• Level-5 under ORSP Rules, 2017: Constable (Civil), Constable (Communication), Constable OISF and Driver PMT.
• Level-4: Firefighter, Firefighting Driver and Traffic Constable.

Examination Fee

• Rs. 500 for all except SC and ST candidates.
• The fee is refunded to candidates who actually appear in the examination.
• Use your own bank account, because the refund goes back to the same payment source.

How Selection Works

• The written examination comes first. Only those shortlisted go to Physical Measurement and Physical Efficiency Test.
• After document verification, a common merit list is prepared on written marks plus weightage for the Driving Test and NCC certificates, wherever applicable.
• There will be no reserve or waiting list.
