National Zoological Park Recruitment 2026 - 3 Consultants

The National Zoological Park (NZP), New Delhi, a subordinate office of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, has issued a circular dated 31 October 2026 for 3 consultants on contract. They are the Zoo Design Consultant, the Animal Health and Welfare Consultant and the IT and Media Consultant. Applications in the prescribed proforma are accepted till 22 November 2026 at 6 PM.

Eligibility

• Zoo Design Consultant (Category C): B.Arch, B.Tech (Civil), M.Arch, M.Tech (Civil) or Ph.D. with more than 10 and up to 15 years of experience, and a valid COA for architects. Retired government staff of grade pay 8700 and above can also apply.
• Animal Health and Welfare Consultant (Category B): Bachelor's in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, with more than 5 and up to 10 years in animal care. Retired staff of grade pay 6600 and above can also apply.
• IT and Media Consultant: see the circular for the requirements.
• Maximum age for all: 65 years.

Pay and Term

• Zoo Design Consultant: Rs. 1,00,000 a month.
• IT and Media Consultant: Rs. 60,000 a month. Check the circular for the Animal Health post.
• Pay includes all taxes, with no other allowance.
• Term: up to three years (1+1+1), on full-time basis.

How Selection Works

• About 5 candidates are shortlisted against each post, on experience and qualification.
• They are called for interview by e-mail.
