Lakshadweep College Faculty Recruitment 2026 - Apply Online

The Directorate of Education, Lakshadweep Administration, Kavaratti, has issued two employment notices dated 30 October 2026. One prepares a contract panel and the other a guest panel of faculty for Government Colleges. Applications are online only and close on 15 November 2026. The notices name the subjects, not the number of posts, and allocation depends on the Departmental Committee.

Pay

• Contract: Principal Rs. 1,00,000, Assistant Professor Rs. 50,000 and Lecturer Rs. 40,000 a month.
• Guest: Rs. 750 per hour, up to Rs. 22,500 a month.
• Candidates without UGC qualifications may enter a separate panel, and on contract get 10% less.

Eligibility

• Principal: Ph.D. in regular mode, with experience as Principal or long college teaching experience as desirable.
• Assistant Professor: Master's with at least 55% in the subject, with UGC NET or JRF.
• Lecturer: Master's with first class and NET, SLET or SET, or a Ph.D. in the subject.
• Age: 22 to 60 years for teaching faculty and 30 to 65 for Principal.

How Selection Works

• For Assistant Professor and Lecturer: essential qualification 75%, desirable 10% (Ph.D. 5, experience 5) and interview 15%.
• Interviews are online or at Kavaratti. Your choice in the form cannot be changed.
• No TA or DA is paid.
