Bharathiar University, Coimbatore has invited offline applications for the post of Director, Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE). The filled-in application, with a demand draft in favour of the Registrar, must reach the university on or before 30 November 2026. The appointment is for a tenure of 3 years, and the candidate must have completed 50 years but be below 57 years of age at the time of notification.

Vacancy Details

Eligibility

• Age: Completed 50 years but below 57 years at the time of notification
• Qualification: Master's degree with at least 55% marks, or grade 'B' on the UGC seven-point scale
• Experience: At least 15 years as Assistant Professor (Senior Scale) or Assistant Professor, with 8 years in the Associate Professor grade and experience in educational administration. Other options are also given, such as 15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 years as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post
• Knowledge of Tamil to the extent of carrying official correspondence and drafting reports
• SC/ST candidates get a relaxation to 50% marks at Master's level

• General category: Rs. 600, including registration fee
• OBC/SC/ST: Rs. 300, including registration fee
• The fee is non-refundable under any circumstances

Selection Process

Selection will be as per the decision of the Syndicate of Bharathiar University. Candidates must attend the interview at their own cost. Candidates in service must send their application through proper channel.
