CIP Ranchi Tutor Recruitment 2026 - 3 Posts

The Central Institute of Psychiatry (CIP), Kanke, Ranchi has invited applications for 3 posts of Psychiatric Social Work Tutor and Clinical Psychology Tutor on a tenure basis for a maximum period of 3 years. Applications are to be sent offline, by hand or by post, to the Dispatch Section of the institute. The last date to submit the application is 01.11.2026 till 3:00 PM. The recruitment is issued for and on behalf of the President of India by the Director of the institute.

Vacancy Details

The number of vacancies is provisional as per the roster and may increase or decrease without notice. The wait-list will operate as per rules.

Eligibility

• Psychiatric Social Work Tutor: M.A. (First or Second class) in Social Work/Sociology/Applied Sociology, and M.Phil in Psychiatric Social Work or equivalent.
• Clinical Psychology Tutor: M.A./M.Sc. (First or Second class) in Psychology, and M.Phil degree of 2 years duration in Medical & Social Psychology or Clinical Psychology.
• Age limit: not exceeding 45 years on or before 01.11.2026. Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC. Relaxation of 10 years for UR PwBD, 15 years for SC/ST PwBD and 13 years for OBC PwBD.
• Reservation: valid community/caste certificate for SC/ST, valid OBC certificate with non-creamy layer certificate for OBC, EWS certificate issued on or after 01.04.2025 for EWS, and certificate from a competent medical authority for PwBD.

Selection Process

• Screening test: one-hour theory exam with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), weightage 60 percent. 4 marks for each correct answer and 1 mark deducted for each wrong answer. No negative marking for unattempted questions.
• Assessment: 40 marks in total, including 30 marks by the Assessment Chairman and subject experts, up to 4 marks for publications, up to 3 marks for paper presentation in CME/conference, and up to 3 marks for distinction/awards/medals.
• Final merit list is prepared on the basis of combined marks from the screening/written test and assessment.

How to Apply

• Fill the prescribed form (Annexure-I) and paste a recent passport size photograph.
• Attach self-attested copies of documents, including Class 10 certificate, graduation and post-graduation certificates, M.Phil certificate, Aadhaar and PAN card.
• Send the application by hand or by post in the name of the Director to the Dispatch Section, Central Institute of Psychiatry, Kanke, Ranchi – 834 006, so that it reaches by the last date.
• Write "Application for the Post of Psychiatric Social Work Tutor/Clinical Psychology Tutor" clearly on the envelope.
• A candidate can apply for only one department. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
