OHPC Managing Director Recruitment 2026 Apply

The Energy Department, Government of Odisha, has invited applications for the post of Managing Director of Odisha Hydro Power Corporation Limited (OHPC) under advertisement No. 12909/En. dated 23 October 2026. OHPC is a Gold rated State Public Sector Undertaking with an installed capacity of 2099.8 MW. The pay is on a Cost to Company pattern of Rs 35 lakh to Rs 70 lakh per annum. Vacancy Details

• The post is a full time contract for 5 years or up to the age of 65, whichever is earlier, with a probation period of one year.
• The post also carries an official vehicle, company accommodation or HRA, medical facilities and other allowances as per the rules of the Corporation.

Eligibility

• Age: minimum 45 years and maximum 60 years on the date of advertisement.
• Education: engineering graduate, preferably in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical. An MBA or PGDM is an added advantage.
• Experience: at least 20 years of post-qualification experience in relevant functional areas.
• Internal candidates: at least 3 years in a senior position in the pay scale of Rs 1,23,100-2,15,900 (Level-15 of ORSP Rules, 2017) or higher.
• Other candidates: at least 5 years in a senior position in an organisation of repute, or drawing that pay scale or equivalent on the date of application.
• Employment status: regular employment in a CPSE, a State PSE, Central or State Government, or a private enterprise with a turnover above Rs 500 crore in any of the last three years.
• Key skills: execution of large hydroelectric projects and operation of large hydro plants.

Selection Process

• Candidates are called for an interview. Outstation candidates get economy class air fare on submission of original documents.
• Government and PSU candidates may be considered on deputation for not less than 3 years.
• The department can accept or reject any application at any stage without giving a reason.
